Privacy Policy — Frog Rush: River Hunt

Effective date: July 10, 2026

© 2026 Haka Studio. Frog Rush: River Hunt and related assets are trademarks/copyright of Haka Studio.

This Privacy Policy explains how Haka Studio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you play Frog Rush: River Hunt (the "Game") on Android, iOS, or any other platform we make it available on (collectively, the "Services").

The Game is intended for a general audience and is offered to players worldwide, including in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, United States, and countries across Africa. Section 7 below describes rights that may apply to you depending on where you live.

This is not a substitute for legal advice. It describes our current data practices in plain language; you should have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publishing it, especially for the regions and stores you target.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Player and account data

The Game uses PlayFab to create an anonymous player account tied to a device-generated identifier ("Custom ID"). We use this to:

  • Save and restore your level progress, stars, and settings across sessions.
  • Submit and display scores on leaderboards (for example, your in-game display name and score).

We do not require you to create an account with a real name, email address, or password to play.

2.2 Gameplay data

We collect gameplay information such as levels completed, scores, stars earned, time taken, and in-game currency/entitlements. This data is used to save your progress, populate leaderboards, and help us balance difficulty and content.

2.3 Device and usage information

When you play the Game, our analytics and advertising providers (described in Section 4) may automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers (such as Google's Advertising ID / Apple's IDFA, Firebase Installation IDs, or a vendor-scoped identifier where advertising IDs are unavailable or reset).
  • Device model, operating system and version, language, and region.
  • App version, session length, and general usage/interaction events (e.g., level starts, completions, ad views) collected via Firebase Analytics.
  • IP address (typically used to derive an approximate, non-precise general location, such as country or city).

2.4 Advertising data

The Game shows ads (banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads) through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, ad interaction data, and approximate location to select, serve, cap, and measure ads, and to pay us for ad impressions/clicks.

Where required by law or store policy (for example, Google's User Messaging Platform / EU-UK consent requirements, or Apple's App Tracking Transparency), we will show you a consent or permission prompt before any identifiers are used for personalized advertising or cross-app tracking by AdMob or Firebase. You can decline and still play the Game.

2.5 Purchase data

If you buy the Remove Ads item (a non-consumable in-app purchase), the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing system, not directly by us. We (and/or PlayFab, if used for entitlement sync) receive a purchase/transaction confirmation and a receipt token so we can:

  • Unlock the Remove Ads entitlement on your device.
  • Restore your purchase if you reinstall the Game or change devices.

We do not receive or store your payment card number, bank details, or full billing address; these are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

2.6 Crash and diagnostic data

If the Game crashes or encounters an error, Firebase Crashlytics collects diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, app version, memory/CPU state, and a stack trace) to help us find and fix bugs. This data does not intentionally include personal information beyond device/app identifiers.

2.7 Support communications

If you email us for support, we will receive whatever information you choose to include (such as your email address and message content). We use this only to respond to your request.

2.8 Information we do not collect

We do not request or knowingly collect your real name, home address, phone number, precise/GPS location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data. The Game does not include chat, messaging, or user-generated content features.

3. Why We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide core gameplay features: saving progress, leaderboards, and entitlements.
  • Operate and measure advertising, so we can offer the Game for free.
  • Process and restore in-app purchases.
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance and stability.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Game (e.g., detecting cheating or fraud on leaderboards).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Third-Party Services

The Game uses the following third-party services, each of which may collect and process data under its own privacy policy:

ServicePurposeData types involved
PlayFab (Microsoft)Anonymous player accounts, save data, leaderboardsCustom device ID, gameplay/progress data
Google AdMobDisplaying banner, interstitial, and rewarded adsAdvertising identifiers, device data, ad interaction data, approximate location
Firebase Analytics (Google)In-app usage analytics, engagement measurementDevice/app identifiers, usage events, approximate location
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)Crash reporting and diagnosticsDevice/app identifiers, crash logs, stack traces
Google Play Store billingProcessing the Remove Ads purchase (Android)Purchase/transaction data, receipt tokens
Apple App Store billingProcessing the Remove Ads purchase (iOS)Purchase/transaction data, receipt tokens

Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy: PlayFab / Microsoft, Google (AdMob, Firebase, Play billing), and Apple.

If we add or remove any SDK (for example, an additional ad network, mediation partner, or attribution/measurement provider such as AppsFlyer or Adjust) after this policy is published, we will update this table before shipping that change.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own unrelated marketing purposes. Advertising partners may, however, be considered to "share" or "process" certain device/advertising identifiers for interest-based advertising under laws like the CCPA/CPRA — see Section 9 for your choices.

5. Device Identifiers and Advertising Choices

You can limit the use of advertising identifiers for personalized ads through your device settings and, where available, through the in-game consent prompt described in Section 7:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (or reset your Advertising ID).
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads.
  • Firebase Analytics: controlled through the device-level advertising ID settings above and, in applicable regions, through the in-game consent prompt described in Section 7.

Opting out reduces ad personalization but does not stop ads entirely (unless you purchase Remove Ads) and does not remove analytics needed for basic app functionality.

6. Children's Privacy

Frog Rush: River Hunt is a general-audience casual puzzle game and is not directed at, nor knowingly marketed to, children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher).

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • We do not include chat, messaging, social features, or user-generated content that would let children communicate with strangers.
  • If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at bmukorera@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it.

If you enable this Game on a "Designed for Families" or similar children's category on any store, additional restrictions apply (e.g., disabling personalized ads and certain third-party SDK behavior for that audience) and this policy must be updated accordingly before publishing under that category. Do not publish under a children's/family category until this section and your ad/analytics configuration have been reviewed for COPPA / Google Play Families / Apple Kids Category compliance.

7. Regional Privacy Disclosures

We offer the Game to players in the EEA, UK, US, and across Africa. Depending on where you live, additional or different rules may apply, summarized below. These sections are general in nature; specific country/state laws vary and this policy does not enumerate every local requirement.

7.1 European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another region with similar laws (e.g., GDPR / UK GDPR), we (and our partners) rely on the following legal bases to process your information:

  • Performance of a contract / legitimate interests — to provide core gameplay, save data, and leaderboards, and to keep the Game secure.
  • Consent — for personalized advertising and any non-essential analytics identifiers, where required (e.g., via the Google-certified consent management platform / UMP shown on first launch in applicable regions, covering AdMob and Firebase).
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

You may withdraw consent at any time through the in-game consent/settings prompt or your device's ad settings; this does not affect processing that already occurred based on prior consent. You also have the rights listed in Section 11 and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7.2 United States

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA, and similar laws in states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah) to know, access, delete, or correct your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and of certain profiling. Our advertising provider (AdMob) and analytics provider (Firebase) may be considered to "share" device/advertising identifiers for interest-based advertising under these laws. You can exercise the opt-outs in Section 5, or contact us at bmukorera@gmail.com to submit a rights request; we do not knowingly sell personal information for monetary consideration.

7.3 Africa

In countries with data protection laws — such as South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Nigeria's Data Protection Act / NDPR, Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, and similar frameworks elsewhere on the continent — we process your information based on your consent (where required, such as for personalized ads) or our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Game, consistent with Sections 2–3 above. You may exercise the rights listed in Section 11, including access, correction, and deletion requests, by contacting us at bmukorera@gmail.com. Where a local law designates a specific regulator, you may also lodge a complaint with that authority.

8. Data Retention

  • Gameplay/progress and player ID data is retained for as long as your account/save data is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you resume play, unless you request deletion (see Section 11).
  • Leaderboard data may be retained to preserve competitive integrity and historical rankings, subject to your deletion rights.
  • Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations, generally for the period required by applicable law.
  • Advertising and analytics data held by third-party partners is retained according to their own retention policies; see Section 4.
  • Crash/diagnostic logs are retained only as long as needed to diagnose and resolve issues.

9. Data Sharing and Your Choices

We share information only as described in this policy:

  • With service providers (PlayFab, Google AdMob, Firebase, and Apple/Google billing) so they can perform the functions described above on our behalf.
  • To comply with law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our players, or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes, other than advertising partners performing ad delivery/measurement as described above.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., under the CCPA/CPRA in California, or similar state laws — see Section 7.2). You can exercise these choices using the device-level controls in Section 5, and by contacting us at bmukorera@gmail.com.

10. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (including PlayFab/Microsoft and Google/Firebase/AdMob) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States or other countries. This means that data from players in the EEA, UK, and Africa may be transferred to and processed in the US or elsewhere. Where required, these providers implement appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) to protect your information when it is transferred internationally. By using the Game, you understand that your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

11. Your Rights and How to Delete Your Data

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (receive a copy of your data in a portable format).
  • Withdraw consent previously given (e.g., for personalized ads).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To request deletion of your player data or exercise any of these rights, contact us at bmukorera@gmail.com with your platform (iOS/Android), and, if known, your in-game player ID/leaderboard name. We will verify and process your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Note: Deleting your player ID will permanently remove your saved progress and leaderboard entries and cannot be undone. Deleting the app from your device does not, by itself, delete server-side save or leaderboard data — please also submit a deletion request as described above.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and rely on the security measures of our service providers (PlayFab, Google/Firebase/AdMob, Apple), to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. We will update the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required (e.g., an in-game notice or updated store listing). Continued use of the Game after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
